Paleo Jalapeno Hamburgers and Grilled Avocado

Happy Memorial Day!

How are you celebrating?

We’re celebrating by doing a boat load of yard work. We decided to throw a house warming party, so we are swamped with work on the house to complete.

So, let’s keep this post short and simple, since it’s beautiful out and I have a ton of outside work to do today. For our Memorial Day meal, we are making Jalapeno Burgers, grilled avocado, and a kale watermelon salad. Here’s our delicious recipe!


Paleo Jalapeno Hamburgers and Grilled Avocados

Servings 4-5, Total time 20 minutes


  1. ½ lbs grounded pork
  2. ½ lbs grounded beef
  3. 1 jalapeno, chopped
  4. ¼ white onion, chopped
  5. ¼ tsp salt
  6. ¼ tsp pepper
  7. ¼ tsp cayenne
  8. ½ tsp garlic powder
  9. 2 avocados, halved
  10. ½ tsp olive oil
  11. pinch of sea salt


  1. Heat up your grill
  2. In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients together. Take a fist full out and make a ball, flatten out to make your patty.
  3. On a cutting board, halve your avocadoes. Drizzle olive oil and sprinkle salt. Set aside.
  4. Place your patties on the grill, cook until done.
  5. When your patties have 2-3 minutes left, place the avocadoes on the frill skin side up. Cook for 2-3 minutes, check occasionally to prevent burning. Serve on the side, or top avocado on the patties.
