Every morning when I go into the weight room at the gym, you see at least 10 people with notebooks tracking their lifts. I go to the gym every morning at 5:30 and I have trouble enough remembering my headphones, let alone remembering a notebook or even a pencil. I wanted to take a more modern approach to tracking my lifts – after doing a little research, I came across the app FitList.
FitList makes it easy to add, track and complete exercises all at on your phone, or even
iWatch. Not only does it have already programmed exercises in the app, but you can create custom ones. If you have certain routines you do on a normal day, like me, you can also save them so you don’t have to keep re-entering them. What I like best though, is that you can see your progression with your exercises. Below are some screenshots I took from the app, its from my Monday workout.
Typically, the day before a workout I’ll already plan out what I’m going to do in the app so I don’t get off track and stay motivated. Because god knows when I get to the gym I’m half asleep.
So if your looking for something other than a notebook to track and record your workouts, I suggest trying this. You may look like you texting while at some machines, but whatever.
If you already have a workout tracker that you use, let me know below in the comments, I’m always looking for new ways!
