Ginger Orange Green Smoothie

The weddings are over, thank god! We had so much fun at both of them, but they did a number on my body. It’s so hard to maintain a healthy mindset when at these things – especially when the last wedding had some pierogi for dinner!

Anyways, in 2 weeks at this time we will be sitting on the beach soaking in the sun, eating some fresh fish. I can’t wait! But with that said, 2-week vacation detox starts today.

This morning I woke myself and my husband up at 5:30am and we both hit the gym hard. I got in a 4 mile run and some leg day lifts to start sweating the booze and cake out. When I got home I made this delicious smoothie. Ginger is one of my favorite super foods – it relives digestive problems, reduces muscle pain, and so much more!

Ginger Orange Green Smoothie

  • Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 4 handfuls of fresh spinach
  • 2 navel oranges
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1″-2″ knob of fresh ginger
  • 1 cucumber (optional), peeled

Directions

  1. Rinse and prep veggies
  2. Throw all ingredients in a big powered blender, and pulse on high until smooth.
