Weekly Workouts 6/27-7/3

Finally, after two awesome wedding weekends in a row, I get to wake up in my house and go for an outside run. It’s not like I get to sleep in on the weekends, our cat/panther Lilly doesn’t allow anyone to sleep past 7:00am. Honestly, as soon as the clock hits 6:30am everything becomes a toy and she begins to go insane, like full speed sprints up and down the hall. Then we crawl out of bed, annoyed, and start the day around 7am, and she is back in bed by 7:30am – she’s a rude little thing, but I love her. Although I was up with the birds this Saturday morning, I was so happy to be in my own house and not in a hotel.

This wonderful 3-day weekend is going to be great. Today just going for a morning run, hitting the farmers market, and then doing yard work. Then Sunday we are going to do one of the 46 High Peaks in the Adirondacks, and Monday is still up for grabs. I never thought I’d see the day where I’m happy just doing yard work – oh how the times have changed.

Anyways, in 2 weeks I’ll be headed to our family beach vacation, so this week has been a food and drink detox – and a big workout week. Here’s what I did and what I’m going to do this weekend:

Monday:

Cardio: 4 mile run, total time 32:49 (8:12 pace)

Lift:

  • Back Squat 3×8 115lbs
  • Oblique Crunches 3×10 45lbs
  • Barbell Deadlift 3×8 100lbs
  • RDLs 3×10 75lbs
  • Decline Crunches 30 reps

Tuesday:

Cardio: 4mile fast run, total time 30:00 (7:50 pace)

Lift:

  • Tricep Dips 15 reps (bodyweight)
  • Dumbbell Bicep Curl 3×10 12lbs
  • Overhead Barbell Lunge 2×7/leg 35lbs
  • Assisted Pull Ups 2×10 60% of BW
  • Weighted Toe Touches 3×12 10lb
  • Planks 3x45sec
  • Medicine Ball Crunches 3×15 10lb

Wednesday:

Cardio: 4 mile run, total time 30:00 (8:12 pace)

Lift:

  • Back Squat 3×8 115lbs
  • Oblique Crunches 3×10 45lbs
  • Barbell Deadlift 3×8 100lbs
  • Decline Crunches 30 reps
  • Assisted Pull Ups 2×10 60% of BW

Thursday:

Warm Vinyasa Yoga 75mins

Friday:

Off – could barely roll out of bed L

Saturday:

10k easy run, 50 minutes 

Sunday:

Planned: 9:30 Hour Hike in the High Peaks
