Gluten Free Banana Oat Breakfast Balls


Back to the grind today after an epic week in our family’s paradise. Since I was little we have been renting a house for a week right on the water in Cape Cod. It’s the one time a year that we get to be lazy – our butts are on the beach by 9am daily, and we don’t leave until 6pm. It’s amazing.

There is also an awesome fish market near the rental, that we are obsessed with. Daily we will go get fresh fish to make for dinner. I can’t wait to share the amazing recipes we enjoyed while on the Cape.

In the meantime, here is my gluten free Banana Oat Breakfast Balls. These are totally delicious, and easy to make! You can make these puppies on a Monday, and enjoy them in the morning or as a snack all week.

Gluten Free Banana Oat Breakfast Balls

  • Servings: 16

This recipe is worth it alone for the smell that it creates in the oven, your kitchen will smell heavenly!


  • 2 medium ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup of uncooked gluten free quick oats
  • ¼ cup ground flax seed
  • ¼ cup chocolate chips ( I use Enjoy Life Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips, which are dairy, nut, and soy free)
  • ½ teaspoon of cinnamon


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. Spray a non-stick cookie sheet with cooking spray or line with parchment paper
  3. Combine mashed bananas, cinnamon and oats in a bowl. Fold in the chocolate chips and place a tablespoon of each on the cookie sheet. ( I use a small cookie scoop for this)
  4. Bake for 10-13 minutes, let cool and then enjoy!
