Antioxidant Berry Shake | Paleo

It’s Friday – thank god! This week has been dragging by, and I can’t wait to be done with it!

Anyways, no time for chit-chat today – let’s get right to the recipe. Those that know me, know that my go-to breakfast is a veggie/fruit shake. It’s quick and easy, plus it gives you plenty of energy to make it through the morning! Plus, getting the right type of energy into your body first thing can help your body regulate your metabolism and energy levels throughout the entire day! (So start tomorrow off with one!)

Adding berries to smoothies adds so much flavor and does so much for your body. In this recipe I use raspberries and blueberries – which contain Vitamin C and immune boosting antioxidants. Bananas are one of my favorite smoothie ingredients, because not only does it add a creaminess to the smoothie texture, but it adds potassium and fiber. Since I add bananas to most smoothies, I also keep some frozen in the freezer. That way I always have them, and I don’t have to add ice to the mix!

I added chia seeds to this one, totally optional though. It doesn’t add any flavor, but it will add Omega-3s, fiber and protein!
