Carrot Orange Ginger Juice

I’m back! The last two weeks have been honestly incredible. My husband and I finally went on our honeymoon to Paris and Barcelona – so my apologies for not posting in a while! It was an amazing trip we did 5 days in both places, and tried to soak in as much as we could. Although Paris was absolutely stunning, Barcelona was by far my favorite! It’s such a relaxed culture, with beautiful beaches and delicious food! And who doesn’t love sangria?! I’ll post about the trip within the next couple of weeks.

 

While traveling, it was so hard to stay focused – everywhere you looked there was baguettes, wine, and delicious bakeries ( I couldn’t turn down a croissant). But now getting back I feel like I gained 500lbs easily, I know that’s a huge exaggeration, but having not eaten bread consistently in two years it definitely is messing with my body.

Then I went to the dreaded gym yesterday morning … why when you go on vacation and don’t touch a weight in two weeks, do you loose all the progress you made? Like it takes weeks to get back to where you were and 1 week to go back to mush? Like wtf?! Ugh, so that’s my struggle now.

 

One of the many excellent things about Barcelona is their love of fresh juice. Every morning I would get one and they were so fresh and delicious. The most epic juice I had was the carrot orange ginger. I know that probably sounds weird, but it’s delicious – and totally amazing for your body. It supports healthy immune function, by packing your system with vitamins A and C. Plus, it promotes healthy skin. Vitamin C found in the juice helps boost collagen production, and Vitamin E regulates skin inflammation and reduction of swelling.

 

Normally, I’m more encouraging of smoothies since most vitamins and minerals are found in a vegetables skin, but this one isn’t loaded with sugar.  It’s a bright and nutritious way to start your day!

Carrot Orange Ginger Juice

Ingredients

  • 3 chopped carrots
  • 1 chopped naval orange (peel)
  • ½ inch piece of fresh ginger

Directions

Press carrots, orange, and ginger through a juice. Mix juice and enjoy!
