Ew, it’s Monday. Not only is it Monday, it’s also raining – for me that means all I want to do is stay in my bed all day. But sadly I can’t, there’s work to be done and bills to be paid.
I treated my body unfairly again this weekend, I went to Boston to visit two of my best friends, and we ate and drank like queens. My girlfriend lives right in the North Side of Boston, and you can’t walk down her street without getting the wonderful smells from tons of Italian restaurants and bakeries.
This week is all about getting my body back on track and re-focused this week. After vacation and then this past weekend, I need a serious detox ( and a whole lot of greens)!
I started out this morning, with an empty fridge, so I had to scramble on what to make for breakfast. I found a banana and coconut milk, and figured “hey what the hell, let’s experiment”. I didn’t add too many other ingredients, besides cinnamon, vanilla extract and a little bit of almond butter – but OMG, it was delicious! It was the perfect sweet treat to get my day going.
Vanilla Banana Smoothie
Sweet delicious smoothie that’s paleo, gluten free and dairy free.
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Ground Cinnamon, to taste
- 2 tbsp Creamy Almond Butter
- Coconut Milk
Combine all ingredients in a blender, until smooth. Add more ingredients to taste.
