Stila, Benefit, and Urban Decay

After this summer, my skin needed a complete re-haul. For some reason, I never got acne growing up but as I’ve gotten older I continuously break out – like what the heck?! It’s so frustrating to be 26 and have a skin complexion like a 14 year old.

I’ve tried a bunch of new face washes, that have worked and have completely changed my skin tone – I went from combination (oily and dry) to a healthy amount of oil. But even though my face wash was helping, I still was breaking out in certain areas. So what was still old in my complextion tool box – make up 😦

A few months ago, I decided to throw away all my cheap drug store make up and grow up – meaning start putting a little money towards something I use on my face daily. I bought the BareMinerals Blemish Ready set and completely fell in love, the only problem was that I didn’t think it gave me the coverage (all day) I needed/wanted. I’m completely obsessed with the Buzzed channel LadyLike, and they did a segment about how to get foundation to stay all day – their solution, use liquid foundation on top of a primer, and set it with powder. Genius! So off to Sephora I went in search of liquid foundation – and I left with a few other goodies, that I use daily. Here’s what I got:

Benefit Cosmetics Boi-ing Industrial-Strength Full Coverage Concealer

I’m a huge fan of Benefit products, and when I saw this baby I had to try it. It goes on dry, so it doesn’t create excess oil on your face (so definitely moisturize your face after washing). This little container seriously covers up anything scars, pimples, literally anything! The only thing I wouldn’t use it on is under your eyes. Since there are no oil glands under your eyes (thanks Jen from Sephora for the fun fact!), it will dry it out even more.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup

It’s $40 for a bottle of this, and it’s worth every penny! It goes on ridiculous light, compared to any other liquid make-up I’ve used. It’s light, looks natural, doesn’t clog my bores, and still has enough coverage to cover the circles under my eyes. It has a very natural look to the skin, not matte and flat, but not overly luminous. Look like skin and blends right in as it is applied.

Stila All Day Stay Liquid Eyeliner

Amazing, amazing, amazing! When it says “all day stay” it truly means it! I’ve never had a eye liner like this. You can make the line be fine or increase it to look more dramatic. It’s easy to put on, and it’s even easy to take off at the end of the day.
