Bacon-Wrapped Brussel Sprouts

I’ve been experimenting with food like crazy this past week, and by Wednesday I was sick and tired of cooking. Since it was only me home for dinner, I opened up the fridge and tried to find an easy meal. I pulled out the bacon (for obvious reasons), and then I found some brussel sprouts left over from the night before – and then the magic started to happen!

With only two ingredients (plus some salt and pepper), this is such an easy snack or appetizer to make for a party. I used maple smoked bacon for a little added flavor, so definitely use whichever flavor of bacon you prefer. And since these puppies are baked, they won’t make a huge greasy mess like a frying pan would. 


Also, don’t mind my obscenely large tooth picks, apparently my grocery store was out of normal people-sized tooth picks, so I had to get giant ones.

Side Note: I gave some of the access bacon to my cat Lilly, but since it had pepper on it – this is the face she made. Although it looks like she didn’t like it, she still ate a few more pieces after it!

This recipe would be a great appetizer for Thanksgiving or any holiday party! A tasty bacon treat that will keep your guests healthy, and eating paleo and whole 30, without them even knowing!

Bacon-Wrapped Brussel Sprouts

Servings: 12 


  • 12 strips of bacon
  • 12 brussel sprouts
  • salt and pepper


  1. Preheat your oven to 375F and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil
  2. Roll each Brussels sprout in a slice of bacon. Secure the bacon with a toothpick and place on the baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the bacon reaches the desired crispiness.
