Hello Friends! Here’s the first post with the new name (Not My Father’s Kitchen) – I’m so excited! It’s only right that I share a recipe that I’m obsessed with lately. So obsessed that I make it basically every day, and I think my hubby is getting a little annoyed (oh well).
Some mornings theres just not enough time to make a breakfast and coffee – or maybe I just get too lazy. Either way, leaving for work in the morning without caffeine or a breakfast smoothie is just not ok for me.
This cold brew breakfast smoothie is the perfect solution to your morning! It’s so yummy, and it the best solution to nix your caffeine cravings, hunger, and allow you to get a few extra minutes of sleep.
Cold Brew Almond Butter Smoothie
Paleo, Whole 30, Grain Free, Dairy Free, and Gluten Free
- 1 bananas
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- 2 soft medjool dates*
- 1 tbsp cacao powder
- 3/4 cup cold brew ( I used Chameleon Mocha Cold Brew Coffee)
- 1/4 cup almond milk, or more to taste
Pulse all the ingredients in a high speed blender until smooth.
*If the dates aren’t soft, let them sit in a bowl of warm water for 10 minutes. Longer they sit in the water, softer they will be.
